Human trafficking and modern slavery is spreading like an epidemic across every corner of the globe and it is amongst the most widespread crimes in the world, affecting millions of men, women and children each day.
Given the hidden nature of human trafficking, it is almost impossible to understand the full scope and scale of the issue and an estimated 40.3 million victims are trapped in modern-day slavery.
We are proud to be supporting the work of a South London based charity – Croydon Community Against Trafficking. Their aim is to raise awareness of the horrors of human trafficking in Croydon and its surrounding communities. Amongst their many aims and achievements has been the successful disruption of the activities of those who profit from this illegal trade. They also work with other agencies to liberate protect and support trafficked people who have been or are at risk of being exploited.
Manwood James have pledged a monetary donation to assist their cause and efforts . We (Gert and Andrew) reside and were brought up in the areas that CCAT network and operate and knowing the local communities has allowed us to see the issue of trafficking directly.
